Brandon Pasker
public SPEAKER ON MENTAL ILLNESS, substance use, & RECOVERY
Brandon Pasker speaks from lived experience shaped by challenge, accountability, and recovery. His work is rooted in the belief that to have a better understanding of mental illness, we must also listen to those who have lived it.
While pursuing his college education and competing as a collegiate athlete, Brandon experienced psychosis that dramatically altered the course of his life. What followed included hospitalization, involvement with the criminal justice system, and the difficult work of rebuilding his health, identity, and future. These experiences gave him an unfiltered view of systems many people never see firsthand, and a deep understanding of what long-term recovery actually requires.
Today, Brandon brings his unique perspective into rooms that need it most. His talks are honest, grounded, and human. He helps audiences gain a clearer understanding of what people with mental illness actually experience, what recovery looks like far beyond the surface, how much a strong support system (professional and personal) helped him, and how compassion and accountability can coexist.
Whether speaking to individuals, clinicians, students, first responders, or community organizations, Brandon’s goal is the same: to increase understanding, provide clarity on issues involving mental health, and to show what sustained, real-world recovery looks like.
